Statement about Marchtoberfest – Saturday, April 10th
The advice from Qld Health this week (Thursday 1st April) means the end of the lockdown for the time being, but a continuation of covid restrictions for venues including events.
We are very keen to have the event go ahead, but will not compromise the health of our team, our patrons, and our supporters. We also believe the overall experience of our Marchtoberfest will be diminished by the wearing of masks, seated dining and drinking, and other social distancing rules.
In addition, we cannot guarantee that further lockdowns and restrictions won’t be introduced at a moment’s notice. We share the industries’ pain, with the sudden shutdown of the Bluesfest in Byron Bay coming as a stark reminder of what can happen to even the largest, best organised, and longest-running events.
We believe at this time that certainty will only come with the advent of more vaccinations across our communities. As vaccinations grow, the community, health departments, and governments will become more confident with handling any future ‘outbreaks’.
With this in mind, we are forced to cancel our Marchtoberfest event for this year and continue our work on Oktoberfest on the weekend of October 1st 2nd and 3rd of 2021.
Your Marchtoberfest Ticket is valid for the Oktoberfest event however, if you would like a refund, please let us know via email, with the name and ticket number. Refunds will be issued via PayPal back to the same card/PayPal account that booked the original tickets. If your ticket was purchased by someone other than yourself, please have them request a refund.
This is heartbreaking for our team, as so much has been invested in the concept and the organisation of the event. We are literally ready to go right now, but these things are outside of our control.
Beam Entertainment firstly needs to thank our major sponsor for their ongoing huge investment in our event, New Eye Company.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank the following local businesses for their support…
Complete Party and Marquee Hire
Moreton Bay First Aid Volunteers
And most importantly The Redcliffe Show Society
Thanks for your support đź’–

We are celebrating Oktoberfest in March – Marchtoberfest Redcliffe 2021! Stand By for news on the BIG ONE in October …
Oktoberfest originally began as a wedding celebration over 200 years ago when Bavaria’s Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese of Sazony Hildburghausen. The iconic wedding was celebrated with multiple days of drinking and feasting, which then became an annual event. Today, Oktoberfest is celebrated in cities across the world with traditional Bavarian costumes, lively music, delicious food and of course, beer.
