Travel these days is much easier than in days gone by. Redcliffe is approximately 30kms from the heart of Brisbane to the south, and 70kms from Caloundra in the north on the Sunshine Coast. You can travel by car, (self-drive, taxi, uber), by bus, by train, and if coming from the islands, by boat.

 The recent addition of the Redcliffe train line has improved travel options for visitors. The train from Kippa-Ring station on the Redcliffe peninsula to Central Station in Brisbane takes approximately an hour. If travelling by car, north or south, there are well-posted exit signs from the Bruce Highway. The bus trip to the city may take close to two hours, depending on traffic. The Ted Smout Memorial Bridge (previously Hornibrook Highway and Houghton Highway), links Redcliffe to the suburb of Brighton, Brisbane north.
